Mayfair Place residents going home

More than 350 people will finally get their lives back Thursday.

It’s been 11 days since a power surge started a series of fires forcing residents of Mayfair Place out on the streets.

Enmax officials announced late Wednesday that the building’s fridges and stoves have been replaced and the electrical system is back up and running.

Residential tenants will get a $250 gift card for groceries when they return.

This comes just days after commercial tenants were given the green light to re-open their businesses.
