Free Shred-It event being held Saturday

Calgarians are getting the chance to shred for free.
Calgary police, RCMP and the Alberta Motor Association are giving people in the city a chance to destroy their sensitive documents.
Shredders will be set up at the Shawnessy AMA, Mount Royal University and the Crowfoot Crossing shopping centre, Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Wendy Mah with the AMA tells 660News that identity theft is a major problem in the province.
She says as a general rule in previous years, Alberta has been about 63 per cent higher than the rest of the country and they attribute that to the hot economy.
This past spring, over 51 tonnes of documents were shredded in the Calgary area alone.
