The Barb Higgins campaign has dismissed manager Donn Lovett.
However, he says he bears no ill will. Apparently, it’s just the opposite.
The announcement came after the candidate missed a mayoral forum, put on by the Economics Society of Calgary, because of what’s being called a scheduling mistake.
Lovett tells 660News he accepts responsibility.
“I’m satisfied with the decision that everybody’s made. As I say, there’s a Barb Higgins sign on my lawn. I’m going to vote for her, my family’s going to vote for her. I’m going to work whatever volunteer hours I can for her and, onwards and upwards,” he says.
Lovett says he was trying to manage the campaign while also running an energy company.
His replacement, Allan Hallman, led Jim Dinning’s campaign for the Tory leadership four years ago.
