East Health Centre officially opens

The Premier and Health Minister have opened Calgary’s newest multi-purpose health facility.
Health Minister Gene Zwozdesky tells 660News the $10.5 million East Calgary Health Centre at 4715 8th Ave brings together dozens of services including “four medics, four family physicians, several nurses and other complimentary staff.”
He also says “about 30 different clinical services are all fully functional.”
One of the focal points is prenatal care because the population of east Calgary has a high percentage of low birth weight babies.
