A Calgary gymnast says he’s ready to do his part to represent our country at the Commonwealth Games in India.
Ian Galvan is one of many athletes from our city taking part in the games and says he’s been surprised by the quality of the Athletes Village and the sporting venues, after hearing reports that they were in poor condition and not ready.
He tells 660News his family is watching him from home, but he will be cheered on by teammates while at the games.
Galvan says he spent the summer training at the University of Calgary, his event begins October 4th.
