Banff gets new mayor

The town of Banff is getting a new mayor and she’s ready to get to work.
Karen Sorenson says her biggest priority will be the local economy, according to The Calgary Herald.
It’s struggling a little because of the global economic slump.
The strong loonie is also stopping some tourists from coming and Sorenson is working on ways to boost visitors again.
She won the town’s mayoral race by acclamation earlier this month.
