Several people were taken into custody following a shooting downtown early Sunday morning.

Dozens of police officers responded to the Eau Claire area overnight. Investigators recovered shell casings and weapons from the scene and two vehicles were damaged by bullets.

Part of 2nd Avenue S.W. was shut down for the investigation.

No charges have been laid and no victims have yet come forward.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have information.
