Black carts roll out in city’s southeast

Some Calgarians have a new way to toss their trash.

New black garbage carts are being delivered to southeast homes starting Monday.
Everyone who has garbage collection through the city will be given a cart.

Those living in the northeast will get theirs in November, while northwest and southwest homes will have to wait until spring.

The city says the carts help to keep neighbourhoods clean, while reducing worker injuries and increasing efficiency.
