The Kerby Centre could be moving to what some dub “the Hole of Mission.”
The non-profit seniors’ complex is looking at moving to 4th Street and 21st Avenue S.W.
The site’s been a boarded-up mess for about eight years.
Kerby’s CEO says if the centre moves, it would occupy a new building to be built with other non-profit organizations.
Alderman John Mar says a tentative deal would see the centre share the space with Meals on Wheels.
Ward 8 election challenger Zak Pashak accuses Mar of grandstanding by proposing a band-aid solution to the Mission eyesore, just two weeks before the civic election.
