That photo making the rounds on the internet — with Stampeders’ quarterback Henry Burris playfully wearing a bra — has become fodder for Saskatchewan Roughrider fans, who have never had a warm spot in their hearts for “Smilin’ Hank” since his departure from Regina.
According to the Calgary Herald, the photo has been the talk all week on sports radio in the province, and fans are planning to wear and wave women’s under garments in the section behind the Stampeder bench tomorrow at Mosaic Stadium in Regina.
The Stamps (1st, 10-4) and Riders (2nd, 9-5) meet Sunday afternoon in a game that will go a long in determining who finishes first in the CFL’s West Division. Game time on TSN is 2pm.
The Calgary Herald reports one rider fan from Saskatoon has even developed a watermelon bra that sells on his website — melonbras.com — for $20. Fortunately for Burris, a dollar from each sale goes towards breast cancer awareness.
