With the clock ticking down, candidates have just one more day to convince Calgarians before they go to the polls Monday.
The big three mayoral candidates will be making last ditch efforts on the campaign trail Sunday.
Ric McIver is expected to target all quadrants of the city until late into the evening.
Barb Higgins will be at the Tri-Wood Community Centre for an open house Sunday afternoon.
Naheed Nenshi starts his day serving coffee at the Purple Perk in Mission before heading out for a full day on the hustings.
Mount Royal political scientist Keith Brownsey says it’s really up to the campaign teams to deliver.
“It’s good for candidates to be at a few public events to get their face and their name out in the media today, but beyond that, there’s not much they can do at this point. It’s up to their organization. It’s up to their campaign manager and their volunteers,” says Brownsey.
He says the candidates will make last minute calls and remind people to vote as well.
Brownsey also feels this is Ric McIver’s election to lose but says Higgins and Nenshi have a chance after running strong campaigns.
