Massive project planned for Eau Claire

A massive hotel and condo tower in Eau Claire could be approved for construction this week.
Two buildings are being planned for a site just south of Eau Claire Market on 2nd Avenue SW.
One is slated to be 47-storeys tall, while the other would be 37-storeys tall.
Cadillac Fairview owns the project.
The company is planning for the complexes to have almost one million square feet of office space, 200 hotel rooms and 300 apartments.
The Calgary Sun reports the project is worth about $1-billion.
