If your kids are too old to go out trick or treating Sunday night, they can still dress up and get together with friends.
Ellen Percival of Calgary’s Child magazine tells 660News, why not help them throw a vampire party, “because they’re so popular right now, especially with the pre-teen, sort of mid-teen age it’s an excellent option to have a vampire party in your own home.”
She says it’s easy to get in the mood with Gothic red and black decor and bite-sized snacks drizzled with fake blood.
“You could make a giant coffin in the middle of the room using an appliance box, and that could be where you set out your snacks.”
Then try some Twilight trivia or watch a classic like Bela Lugosi’s 1931 version of Dracula.
