The source of a leak that forced the evacuation of a northeast stripmall has been located.

Fire and police crews cordoned off the large strip mall in Falconridge and had evacuated the building after reports of a massive gas leak.

Roads at the McKnight Village area were also closed for about a half hour but have since been re-opened.

The call came in around 9 o’clock Friday morning after staff at an animal hospital reported a strong smell of natural gas.
