Energy costs remain same as last year: NEB

The National Energy Board has rolled out  its winter outlook.

Its 2010 outlook predicts stable energy prices in the coming months.

The NEB says Canadians will be paying about the same as they did last year to power their lights, and drive their cars.

On top of that home-owners could save some money on their heating bills.

The NEB’s Darcy Johnson calls it stable good news for consumers.

“Prices are low relative to 2008 and prior and stable to they shouldn’t see to many spikes in their bills.”

Crude oil prices are expected to average between $75 and $80 U-S a barrel, similar  to last year’s numbers.

An natural gas prices will remain depressed, averaging between 3.50 and 4.50
