The world’s largest children’s Christmas project is under way again.
Operation Christmas Child is encouraging Canadians of all ages to take part in their annual collection.
Spokesperson Martin Silbernagel tells 660News that many of the children who receive shoe boxes are being given the first gift they have ever received. This year, collections from Canada will be sent to countries throughout South and Central America, as well as West Africa.
Hygiene items, school supplies and small toys are just some of things you can put in the boxes.
Collection of the boxes is happening from November 15-21 and for drop-off information, visit their website.
