Calgarians mark Remembrance Day

Canadians are remembering those who fought for the freedom of others – and those who paid the ultimate price.

Around the world, from Calgary to Kandahar, services have been held marketing Remembrance Day.

Locally dozens of services were held, including at the Jubilee Auditorium where a listener tells 660News so many people showed up, some had to be turned away.

At the Central Memorial Park Cenotaph in the southwest, hundreds attended a ceremony.

One man said he brought his daughters so they could learn the importance of the day.
