Ginger the doomed pitbull-cross could be coming to Calgary to be rescued from being put down.
The dog, injured years ago in a fight, is scheduled to be put down in Toronto, where pit bulls are banned.
However, Calgary’s head of bylaw services is coming to the rescue.
Bill Bruce says he met Ginger on a recent trip to Toronto and offered to bring her here.
He believes she’s a safe dog who would pass behaviour tests and could be adopted by a Calgary family.
