Sutter sent to the farm

Brett Sutter is having a bad week.

Days after the Flames forward was charged with assault outside an Arizona bar he’s been reassigned to the minor leagues.

Sutter will play for the AHL’s Abbotsford Heat.

The 23 year-old, who is the son of Flames GM Darryl sutter, is accused of punching a cab driver outside the American Junkie bar in Scottsdale.

He’s facing a charge of simple assault.

Sutter has also issued an apology for the incident, saying he has set the wrong example for children who love the Flames.
