German tourists fined for chasing bears

A group of German tourists have been fined for chasing a group of Grizzlies near Lake Louise to try and get a photo of them.

The three tourists were fishing with relatives living in Canada last summer when they spotted a grizzly mom and her two cubs.

The National Post reports a woman saw the tourists start to chase the animals and phoned park attendants.

The judge in the case said there’s a reason grizzlies are called wild animals.
