Home Depot recalls LED lights

Home Depot Canada has announced a massive recall of all 2010 Holiday LED Light Strings sold since October 1st.

In a news release, the company says it’s voluntarily recalling the lights because of quality issues, but says there are no known safety issues.

“They’re just not up to standard, anything from balls cracking or falling off the string, to the colours incorporated into it or the plastic chipping off, ” said spokesperson Tiziana Baccega.

“We are just not happy with the quality. It’s not what our customers deserve and it’s not what we sell.”

You are being asked not to use the light strings and bring them back to your local Home Depot for a refund.
