City crews have been working around the clock to clear Calgary’s streets, but there are still some areas of town that remain inaccessible.
Cameron Loveday, a resident of Calgary’s hilly Silvergrove area in the northwest, said city busses are having a hard time making it up the snowy slopes.
He tells 660News, “Cars seem to make it up, but the transit bus isn’t. They get three quarters of the way up the hill on Silvergrove Dr. and then they typically have to back all the way down again. Sometimes they have to let the passengers off the bus.”
Loveday said the city still hasn’t sanded or cleared the road as of the morning of November 21st.
City Roads Spokesperson, Sean Somers says, Silvergrove Dr. is a Priority II street, and it is only cleared after major roadways, like Glenmore or Crowchild.
