Premier Ed Stelmach says it’s the role of Alberta Health Services board to decide whether to fire CEO Stephen Duckett and not his.
The head of AHS has been under fire after his Friday meltdown in front of the media, where he refused to answer questions because he was eating a cookie.
In the legislature today, the premier let it be know is found Duckett’s behaviour offensive.
However, Stelmach wouldn’t offer his opinion on whether or not Duckett should be fired or keep his job.
He says it’s up to the AHS board to decide on the CEO’s future.
The board has moved up a meeting that was scheduled for next week and will now sit down Wednesday.
