Another resignation from Alberta Health Services board

Another member of the Alberta Health Services Board of Directors has apparently resigned, the fourth resignation from the board since last week’s firing of CEO Stephen Duckett last week.

Sources say Dr. Andreas Laupacis tendered his resignation to Alberta Health Minister Gene Zwozdesky.

Officials with Alberta Health Services and the Alberta Government were not immediately available for comment.

Laupacis is an executive at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto and was a former member of the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research.
