Bird-watching is something you might not normally think about for the winter!
Since not all birds fly south when the temperatures dip, the bird-watchers bundle up and head to the trees.
The Friends of Fish Creek Park is signing up bird lovers for their latest course with an experienced naturalist.
The organization’s Chris Lalonde tells 660news it’ll be 12 weeks of enjoyable two-hour jaunts.
“So the next time you go out you can say that’s a warbler or a duck… Gus is very knowledgeable and will tell little stories and things like that,” says Lalonde.
For more information you can go to www.friendsoffishcreek.org.
The cost of the course is $50.00 for members and $75.00 for non-members.
It begins January 4th, 6th or 8th.
