The holiday season is in full-swing and for many, it’s a stressful time deciding who to buy gifts for and how much to spend.
There are no set rules when it comes to who to buy for according to Antonia Whyatt from Chatelaine magazine.
However, she feels the focus should be on the people you spend Christmas Day with.
Whyatt says for people like the hairdresser, garbage man, and cleaning lady a card or homemade cookies are a nice gesture, and maybe $10 if you can afford it.
In the event you receive a gift from someone you weren’t expecting, Whyatt recommends you have a stash of small generic presents at home like chocolates or candles that you can magically give in return.
If you’re not at home, write a thank-you letter and perhaps surprise them with gift at another point in time.
