Change in Flames ownership

One of the men responsible for bringing the Flames to Calgary is reportedly selling his share of the club.

TSN’s Darren Dreger told the Fan960, that Harley Hotchkiss is selling his current share of 22 percent to the rest of the partnership that controls the club. Dreger said that the NHL’s Board of Governor’s will vote on the matter next week.

If Hotchkiss sells his share, it would leave Byron Seaman as the only remaining original owner that bought the Atlanta Flames in 1980 and moved the franchise to Calgary.
