WestJet in alliance talks with Emirates

WestJet is looking to make its global reach bigger.

It’s in alliance talks with Emirates Airline.

If a deal went through, WestJet would be able to get its customers to Africa and the Middle East.

CEO Gregg Saretsky tells The Calgary Herald that Emirates is far from the only carrier that’s interested.

He says a total of 70 airlines from around the world have expressed an interest on forming an alliance with the Calgary-based company.
