Ban on strong beer could be gone soon

An Alberta ban on super strong beer could be lifted soon.

The province’s Liquor and Gaming Commission put the ban in place late last month.

It covers malt and barley drinks with an alcohol content of over 11.9 per cent.

A commission spokeswoman tells the Calgary Herald, the rules will stay on the books only until the board comes out with a new policy governing prices for the drinks.
