The province is set to sound the alarms on Wednesday.
But don’t worry, it’s just a test.
Joy Hawman, the program co-ordinator for the Alberta Emergency Management Agency tells 660News, people shouldn’t be alarmed when they hear the message at 1:58pm.
She says it will interrupt broadcasting with participating broadcasters and a pre-recorded message will play letting people know what it’s about and that it is only a test.
She says they test the system every three months so people know what to be listening for when there is an actual emergency.
The test warning will sound on participating television and radio stations, including on 660News.
