There’s been a big drop in Calgary housing starts.
The Conference Board of Canada is out with a new report showing that housing starts in this city fell by about 50 per cent last year.
An economist with the Conference Board tells the Calgary Herald that’s basically wiped out gains seen in Calgary’s housing market over the last four years.
The board says the local housing market will come back to life eventually, but it will be a slow process.
