The city may have a way to get some more parking spots in Kensington.
A deal is in the works with a private developer that would see Calgary turn over a piece of land in the trendy neighbourhood to a private developer.
In exchange, the unnamed company would build an underground parkade with 35 stalls for public use.
The Calgary Herald reports the parkade, if built, would be located at the old site of Ant Hill Fabrics on 10th Street N.W.
The new lot would replace 19 surface parking spots that already exist, resulting in a total gain of 16 spots.
