Attempted sexual assault in Dalhousie

Calgary police are searching for the man who attacked a woman in a northwest community Monday night, attempting to sexually assault her.
It happened in the 5300 block of 53rd Avenue northwest.
The woman in her mid-forties was walking home from an evening of Christmas shopping when a man hit her several times from behind.
He put his hand over her mouth, threatening to hurt her. Fortunately, the victim managed to fight off her attacker.
The suspect raced off towards the Dalhousie LRT station, where police tell 660News they’re gathering video surveillance as evidence.
The suspect is described as 25 to 40-years-old with a medium build and a low voice. He was wearing cloth or wool gloves.
