A woman who comforted two boys who survived a crash that killed their father is being nominated for a citizen’s award.
Siksika Nation High School teacher Jolyne Watson was headed to work earlier this month when she saw the crashed truck near Chestermere.
She took the boys, both less than ten-years-old, into her SUV and bundled them up to shield them as other people tried to save their father’s life.
She tells The Calgary Sun she believes God put her there for a reason and she would want someone to help her family in the same situation.
