Home Invasion in the Southeast

A home invasion in the city’s southeast has sent one man to hospital in serious but non-life threatening condition.

Police say five armed men wearing masks forced their way into a home in the 2500 block of 10th Avenue and then fled the scene just before 5:30 Wednesday afternoon.

Police then tracked 4 of the 5 suspects to the Max Bell Arena where they are believed to have hopped into cabs to various parts of the city.

Inspector James Hardy tells 660News, the suspects entered the house with bats and large knives.

Police now have 3 men in custody, and are still looking for 2 others.

They are both described as approximately 6 feet tall, wearing dark clothes and baseball caps.

Police believe it was a targeted attack.
