Canadians spend the most time online

Canadians spend more time on the web and social media sites than people in any other country, according to a new survey.
ComScore reports around 68 per cent of Canadians routinely surf the net in comparison to just 59 per cent of Americans.
Social media consultant, Roger Kondrat, tells 660News many Canadians spend an average 42 hours a month surfing the web because the government pushed to make it mainstream.
“Several years ago the governments made broadband adoption a policy issue and we jumped way ahead of the United States in that area, so it’s quite possible that that’s a major factor in the fact that we’re ahead of the U.S.”
According to ComScore around 51 per cent of Canadians have Facebook accounts.
The country where the least amount of people head online is Italy at 36 per cent.
