The funeral for three people killed on Thursday after their vehicle hit a patch of ice and plunged into the Spray Lakes Reservoir near Canmore is set for Wednesday at the Centre Street Church in the northeast.

The Herald is reporting that services for 39-year-old husband and wife Darrin and Jennifer Waugh and 43-year-old James Roddy Allan, the common law husband of the lone survivor, Jaime Waugh are set for 1 p.m. at the church on 3900 – 2nd Street northeast.

She is currently surrounded by loved ones helping her cope with the loss of her husband, brother and best friend.

The couple are being remembered as inseparable with a passion for family and friends while Allan is described as a diehard hockey fan.

Donations for the couple have been asked to go to the Pawsitive Match Rescue, a dog rescue program Jennifer Waugh volunteered with while those wanting to remember James Allan are being asked to donate to the Alberta Rugby Association.

Icy roads are being blamed for the crash.
