Calgary joins cat overpopulation campaign

Our city is joining the Canada-wide campaign to address overpopulation, after 2011 has been declared the Year of the Cat.
The number of unwanted and abandoned animals entering shelters and rescue groups is increasing every year and Calgarians can help stop the growing crisis.
Bylaw Boss Bill Bruce tells 66News, pet responsibility involves making the right decision and having the financial ability to do so.
He adds the campaign hopes to motivate people to think of cats differently and help solve overpopulation by spaying, neutering and licensing your pet.
