Fund set up for murder victim

A bank account has been set up to help the family of Calgary’s second murder victim of the year, to get his body back to his home in the Philippines.

Joel Zalsos was found slain last week in the northwest home he shared with his wife.

He had just moved here from the Philippines a few weeks before, to join the woman who had been living in Calgary for some time.

The family tells the Calgary Herald, it will probably cost upwards of $15,000 to get him home.

A bank account is set up at ATB Financial branches under the Caburatan Family Trust.
