Got a shovel in your car? You might need it, just to get out of your driveway, or your neighbourhood.
Huge drifts are reported in some parts of the city. Once you get onto major routes, slippery conditions are the problem.
Many drivers say the major routes are okay, it’s the secondary ones drivers have to watch out for.
It’s a slow go and a very slippery Monday morning.
David tells 660News the drive was terrible.
“Lots of slippery sections on the highway. I came in from Airdrie this morning and I didn’t make it over 60 km/h. It’s just nasty out there. It’s everybody else on the road that’s a hazard.”
His advice to drivers is to slow down and not slam on the brakes.
Drifts in some local neighbourhoods are also wreaking havoc. Some drifts are over three feet tall.
