Party at COP

People have been skating on the ice for a month, but Saturday marks the official “coming-out” party for Winsport’s brand-new 500-thousand square foot ice complex at Canada Olympic Park.

It’s a free, fun-filled, family event – starting at 11:30 Saturday morning.

Winsport Spokesman Brendon Arnold says hay-rides, ice sculptures, and a world-renowned illusionist are part of the fun.

Honourable guests in attendance will include Olympic athletes, Mayor Naheed Nenshi, and former mayor Dave Bronconnier.

There will be heaters and bonfires to beat the cold outside, and plenty of room to stay warm inside.
