A $45-million renovation of the Talisman Centre is complete and areas that were once cordoned off are open again.

The work took more than a year to complete.

The Calgary Sun reports some of the employees laid off during the construction are being hired back and the rest will be brought in as programs pick up.

The renovations included work on three gyms, an Olympic-sized pool, public lockers and a revamp on the main concourse.
