Two people, 23 cats saved from fire

Two people and nearly two dozen cats escaped a house fire in the southwest Monday morning.
It’s believed the blaze broke out in a closet before spreading to the attic and garage of the home in the 9500 block of Oakland Drive in Oakridge.
There’s no estimate yet on how much damage the fire caused. It’s also not known when the owners and their 23 cats might be able to move back in.
