Drug bust in Calgary’s North

A Calgary Police operation will keep a significant amount of cocaine off of city streets.
The two month investigation led to the seizure of property from four residences in the communities of Panorama, Hidden Valley and Monterey Park.
Police found $350,000 worth of cocaine, cash totaling $45,000, two handguns, an M1 assault rifle and a taser.
Two of the four homes searched were used as stash houses and were not furnished.
Detective Collin Harris says the public can help prevent stash houses in their neighbourhoods by simply getting to know their neighbours.
Alexander Kosmak, 26, of Calgary, faces 41 charges on drug and weapon offences. Philip Defazio, 22, also of Calgary, faces four charges related to drug trafficking and weapons offences.
