The husband of a woman who was killed by the driver of a stolen truck is launching a $1.36-million lawsuit.
Bonifacy Pulwicki, his wife Margaret and their son were on their way to church two days after Christmas in 2009 when the man driving the stolen truck ran a red light at 10th Street and 20th Avenue N.W., hitting the family’s car.
The family’s statement argues Christopher James Rae’s negligence was the sole reason for the deadly crash.
He was convicted last July in related criminal charges.
His sentencing is scheduled for next month.
