Man rescued on the Bow

The fire department’s Aquatic Rescue Team rescued a man from the ice on the Bow River Wednesday afternoon.
The call came in around 2:30 for an area around the zoo.
Brian McAsey with the fire department tells 660News, the man, around 40 years old, was unconscious from some sort of medical condition.
“He was well out on the ice, on the ice shelf. His arm was submerged in the water. He had fallen unconscious or near unconscious.”
McAsey adds the man was semi conscious when they handed him off the EMS.
