Further review of CBE headquarters nixed

Any hope for further review into the $285-million lease on the Calgary Board of Education’s new headquarters could be dead.

A group of parents promised to ask the province’s Education Minister to take a look at the lease after the board shot down a proposal for more review earlier this week.

Education Minister Dave Hancock says he has no plans to do that right now.

Advocate Laura Shutiak tells The Calgary Herald she hopes the minister will reconsider.
