Charges laid after bizarre traffic accident

Charges have now been laid after a car ended up in an irrigation ditch Thursday morning.
The driver was actually a passenger in the vehicle when it was pulled over by police, who suspected the person driving at the time of being impaired.
The passenger jumped into the drivers seat and took off. He managed to evade police before going through a fence and plunging over a 200 foot embankment, coming to rest in the ditch.
28 year old Van Duong is now charged with mischief, fleeing from police and dangerous driving.
The investigation is on going.
