Alberta landowners are worried proposed new rules will clog their farms will with oil and gas wells.
The Energy Resources Conservation Board is looking at allowing more wells per section of property.
The body says more wells are needed than before to recover what’s left of the province’s dwindling reserves of oil and natural gas.
Don Bester, who farms east of Innisfail, tells The Calgary Herald more wells will make it harder to move farm equipment around his property.
The energy board will be taking feedback on the new rules throughout the week.
