Valentine’s mail

If you’re planning to send someone a Valentine, you might want it to come from Saint-Valentin.

The post office in Saint-Valentin, Quebec is offering up a special service.

You can send them your Valentine’s Day card inside a bigger envelope and then they’ll postmark it and send it to your Valentine.

For 18 years now, the postmaster there has helped personalized more than 4-thousand messages and greeting cards from across the country and even from overseas.

Here’s what you have to do:

1.  Properly address your greeting card and affix appropriate postage

2.   Insert your letter/greeting card in a larger envelope, again with the correct postage and send it to :

    Liliane Baribeau, Postmaster
    Saint-Valentin Post Office
    790 chemin 4(e) Ligne
    Saint-Valentin QC  J0J 2E0

3.   The postmark will be affixed and your greeting card sent to your Valentine.

For a destination within the province of Quebec, allow at least six working days for your card to reach Saint-Valentin, be canceled with the special postmark and reach your loved one.  Allow more time for other destinations within or outside Canada.
